Demonstrate Your Value

If you are a job seeker, and haven’t yet been offered the ‘right job’, temporary jobs are a good introduction to a wide range of employers.  Temping is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills and attributes, and the value which you can add to a business.

Assessing Your Skills

To work as a Select temp you will need to complete skills assessment relevant to the work you are seeking.  Some roles (e.g. industrial labouring) may not require any assessment – your consultant will advise you of the requirements at your initial enquiry.

Select - Your Employer of Choice

While you work on-site at our client's premises, you are employed by Select and as your employer we are responsible for your wellbeing, wages and health & safety – just like the staff that work in our Select offices.

Your Wages

Wages are paid to you at market rate and vary depending on the skill and experience level relevant to the assignment, and the place of work. Select then charge our employer client a service fee covering your wages, employer liabilities (such as ACC levies, PAYE and holiday pay) and the cost of delivering the temping service. There is no charge to you, and your hourly rate is not reduced to cover this cost.
